1967 Referendum 50th Anniversary Address

Address by the Hon. Ben Wyatt MLA, WA Treasurer and Minister for Aboriginal Affairs marking the 50th anniversary of the 1967 referendum recognising Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. This address, given on 30 May 2017, also coincided with the issuing of the Uluru statement. Richard Wally provided the welcome to country and the Treasurer, the first Aboriginal Australian to hold such an office, was introduced by Wayne Wood, Secretary of the Australian Services Unions (WA). The address was hosted by UnionsWA.
